| Just got back from a week in Kolkata spent staying
at the Peerless. The staff there are extraordinary.
They will do anything to make you happy. The two restaurants
in the hotel are both excellent, especially the Bengali
cuisine place, Aaheli. The bar, called Ego, is also

| If you like authentic Bong food - ahh.... Aheli is
awesome ! Found service to be excellent. Relatively
clean rooms. Rates are reasonable considering it is
in a metro and centrally located. Location ---- can't
beat this. I went there with family twice. I was desperately
looking for reservation for my second stay in Dec '06

| I stayed at the Peerless Inn while attending a conference.
While it was not especially close to the conference
site it was very well situated in central Calcutta.
The rooms, while not overly large, were quite comfortable.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast
was included in the stay and there was a very good selection

3-7. We were delighted to find that it is surrounded
by a large but crowded shopping area, including New
Market, and the fine restaurants of the Oberoi Grand
