A signature fine dining brand from The Peerless Inn, Kolkata AAHELI was founded in 1993. Derived from the Arabic word “AAHEL”, AAHELI means “AUTHENTIC”. True to its name, the restaurant serves only authentic Bengali delicacies.

THE CUISINE
Aaheli's cuisine celebrates the true essence of Bengali taste. Here we cater a blend of ecstatic delicacies from the districts of West & East Bengal. You also get to taste the culinary from the kitchens of the bygone Bengali Zamindars, which were poularised by the Tagore family.

To celebrate the true Bengali essence, Aaheli hosts many thematic food festivals on the special Bengali days like Poila Boisakh (Bengali New Year), Jamai Sasti, Durga Pujo, Poush Parbon & more. Each and every dish served by Aaheli has a special signature of authentic Bengali taste, curated by our recognised Bengali chef. From a-la-carte menu to delectable thalis, Aaheli never falls short of exquisite Bengali delicasies.
THE EXPERIENCE
A unique conceptual restaurant tha toffers ethnic taste with an elegant touch of sophistication. The decor of the outlet reflects Bengali culture, folklore & etiquette. The decor comprises paintings of Bengal’s village life.
At Axis Rajarhat, another extension of Aaheli is adorned with a pair of sculpted white pigeons. The interior aesthetic is further enhanced with a pair of ornamental parrots from the ceiling with rural Bengal art in ambience.
Guests at Aaheli are served food in bell metal, which typically reflects how one use to be served at a Bengali household. Tables are laid using mats made of cane which are common in Bengal’s art and craft, an oil lit lamp adds to the charm of the dinner. Napkins that are served to the guest is made of batik print, a print technique done by a wax resistant dye. At AAHELI, guests are encouraged to have food with their hands, in order to enjoy the taste of true Bengali cuisine.
